أبجد (ABC: abjad) means the Arabic alphabet, also known as the consonant alphabet. It differs from the English alphabet in the way vowels are written. Abjad omits vowels and attempts to express words using only consonants. This style of consonant alphabet (= Abjad) is used in Arabic and Hebrew.
